- Assessment, evaluation, and treatments of clients and provide medications for the management of a variety of mental health diagnoses.
- Order labs and tests to evaluate physical health to support overall health.
- Monitor therapeutic levels of psychotropic medications when prescribed.
- Recommend clients for Community Based Rehabilitation Specialists, and substance use disorder services when needed.
- Develop individualized service plans based upon assessment.
- Provide therapeutic interventions as necessary including the provision of on-going medication management services.
- Provide education for clients regarding psychopharmacological interventions to improve medication compliance and treatment adherence.
- Follow up with clients upon discharge after hospitalization.
- Accurate documentation of client care
- Work and coordinate care with other members of the health care team to provide comprehensive care and promote continuity of care.
- Enhanced professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings, and workshops.
